On September 14, 1989, Rosa Mae Canty-Lovett was found floating face down in a canal west of US Highway #27, approximately 1.5 miles south of South Bay.
Rosa Mae’s body was discovered by a passing employee of U.S. Sugar Corp. She was found clothed only in a blue tank top and nude from the waist down.
