Delray Beach Police detectives are looking for a man who wore distinctive shoes Monday afternoon when he robbed a PNC bank on West Atlantic Avenue. Surveillance cameras captured the white man with grey hair and a New York accent as he approached a teller, said he had a bomb in his bag and demanded money. Witnesses told detectives he wore black athletic shoes with individual toe compartments. He also wore a black mask and glasses to conceal his face, a floppy hat, jeans and red gloves. Witnesses say he may have headed westbound on Atlantic Avenue in a newer model red SUV. There were no customers in the bank when the robbery occurred at 4:50 p.m. at the PNC bank branch at 5017 W. Atlantic Ave.
