Boca Raton Police are investigating a bank robbery at TD Bank.

On Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 1:23 p.m., Boca Raton Police officers responded to a bank robbery at the TD Bank at 2301 North Federal Highway.

Officers were told that the suspect entered the bank, briefly spoke with the manager then approached a teller. The suspect told the teller that he had a bomb and demanded she put money in a bag he brought with him. The teller complied.

The suspect is described as a white male, with a stocky, muscular build, wearing a baggy black sweatshirt, grey pants, black shoes, a mask, sunglasses and a rag covering his head. The suspect left the bank, walked to an adjacent parking lot and got into a red or maroon, unknown make SUV with dark tinted windows. The suspect drove north on Federal Highway.

As officers were investigating this robbery, they received information that a male matching the suspect’s description tried to enter the Iberia Bank at 1180 North Federal Highway approximately 20 minutes earlier, but employees refused to allow him entry into the bank.
